J. Richard "Dick" Rausch

Background:

I was a farmer in White County until 1978. After leaving farming I worked as a millwright for three years and in sales for 1 year prior to going into construction. I worked for a White County contractor until he retired, and then I started my own construction/handyman business, Rausch Construction. After 3 years I went to work for a Lafayette home builder. We built spec homes in the Capillano and Kings Ridge subdivisions. In 1990 I again started my own construction business, Double R Construction.

Most of my jobs have been in the Tippecanoe, White, and Carroll County areas. But, some of my work through a modular home company has taken me as far north as Fort Wayne and as far south as Terre Haute.

Much of the work I have been doing for the modular home company has been adding bedrooms and bathrooms to the second floor of their Cape Cod homes and finishing the stairways. Also, I typically finish the trim work and marriage lines of the Cape Cod homes and ranch-style homes. I have also added decks and covered porches to some of their homes.

Although I have recently moved from Lafayette to Rossville I plan to continue to work in Tippecanoe, Carroll, and White counties as well as expand into Clinton County.
